This has been such a thrilling school year for me, teaching student’s grammar, vocabulary and Spanish culture.
Depending on the class’ grades the students have learned numerous things in Spanish such as the color song, the family song and Happy Birthday. In addition certain grades made maps in with the names of the places label in the target language. They have learned how to express emotions, how to order from a Spanish menu, how to count up to 10.000.In addition they learned pronouns formal and informal how to conjugate regular verbs and how to utilize irregular ones. They have learned basic questions and answers so they can communicate with Spanish speaking individuals.
They have researched why 5 de mayo is celebrated, Spanish sports figures, ethnic foods in Hispanic countries, education in other Hispanic countries and how Independence Day is celebrated is Central and South America.
For the month of June we will be reviewing everything that we have learned, so the students will finish feeling at ease with the knowledge that they have gained during this school year.
