May – Mayo

8th grade: Students will review everything that they have worked on this year from adjectives, name gender, pronouns, irregular verbs and “ar and “er” verbs. In addition they will be finalizing their cultural projects and presenting them after the trip to Washington.

7th grade: Students will learn irregular verbs To Be and To Have to get them ready to create more complex sentences. In addition they will review the proper pronouns to be able to create the sentences.

6th grade: The students will be learning questions such as Where do you live? What is your phone number? What do you like to do for fun? etc. This will help the students to broaden their vocabulary and to learn different regular verbs. They will learn the pronouns in the target language. They will also review the days of the week and the months of the year so they could use the appropriate format when writing dates in Spanish.

5th grade: The students will learn about household items. They will do a crossword puzzle and an unscramble Spanish vocabulary activity to pratice the words.

Students will have a quiz Definite and Indefinite articles on Monday 5-3

4th grade: The students will learn about occupations and professions. They will be able to explain “What I want to be when I grow up in the target language.

3rd grade: Students will learn action words. They will complete word searches and play Simon Says to do these commands.

2nd grade: Students will learn Family Ties. They will do a word search. By the end the students will be able to express how many brothers, sisters and grandparents they have.

1st grade: The students will learn the days of the week. They will listen to songs and at the end they will be able to tell which their favorite day is and which day of the week is the one they don’t like in Spanish. In addition, they will learn about their face and they will do a word search with words regarding the face.

April – Abril

8th grade: The students will continue working on the pronouns (formal, informal, singular and plural), irregular verbs To Be (ser o estar) and To have (tener).In addition, they will learn how to conjugate the “er” verbs such as comer- to eat, beber – to drink etc, so they could create more complex sentences.

Cultural report: Students will research when Latin American countries celebrate their Independence Day and how they do to celebrate it.

7th grade: The students will use their math skills to do math in Spanish using math symbols and convey the results in the target language.

6th grade: The students will learn about different places such as house, library etc. They will create a map of the town using these words.

5th grade: Students will continue to learn about definite and indefinite articles and how to use them depending of the gender of the noun that they are using. After mastering this skill they will use these articles with plural words in order to increase their vocabulary.

4th grade: The students will continue to use the bilingual dictionary to learn new words. In addition, they will learn about foods served in a restaurant and how to order them in Spanish.

We will review introductions to refresh their memory

3rd grade: The students will learn about places around their town. They will do a word search “Up the Street”. They will create a map of places they would like to visit.

2nd grade: The students will learn more food items and create a booklet

1st grade: The students will learn the name of classroom items (Part 2) and they will create a booklet with those items.
